Richard is a grade 12 student at White Oaks Secondary School currently enrolled in the IB program. Ever since the age of 5, he has been playing violin, moving from a small music school in British Columbia to learning in Milton, Ontario. He has enjoyed playing violin for over 11 years now, and completed level 10 RCM violin in the summer of 2015. Over the past few years, Richard has played violin in many ensembles such as taking part in the pit band his High School’s musicals “Crazy for You” and “Annie”, as well as having played in the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2016 – 2018. He enjoys taking risks in music, exploring different genres and trying out new instruments and styles. In his spare time, Richard also enjoys playing on the school’s volleyball team as well as swimming, having earned his Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid certifications through swimming lessons. Richard is looking forward to playing in the Oakville Symphony with many passionate, mature, and experienced musicians who share his interests.
