Michael Buczkowski started playing the violin when he was three years old with Jean Grieve as his teacher. Ever since he has been involved in the Oakville Suzuki Association.   For Michael it was always a struggle to find enough time to practice since he was also heavily involved in other extra curricular activities.  However, he enjoyed it too much to ever stop playing and taking lessons. In High School he played in the Halton Mississauga Youth Orchestra (now the OSYO) for three seasons before going off to Wilfred Laurier University to study with Jerzy Kaplanek of the Penderecki string quartet. From his time at Laurier to now he has been learning about bow repair at The Sound Post violin shop in Toronto, and aspires to become a great bow maker/restorer. Michael also did his Suzuki level 1 teacher training and was in the YAP program at SOSI for one year.
