Oakville Symphony Day – Saturday April 14th (EVENT COMPLETED)

Our Mayor is declaring it Oakville Symphony Day! Join us as we celebrate 50 years of symphonic music in Oakville. There will be concerts, special presentations, the annual Young People’s Concert, games, tours and lots more! (All events are FREE. Please note that some require a reservation.)

Presented in partnership with the Town of Oakville and the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.

10:00 am & 11:00 am – SOLD OUT
Mini-Concert for kids, Around the World with Vernon Rabbit, geared to ages 4–11 but all are welcome. Limited space. Please reserve your places in the Oakville Centre lobby by clicking here.

10:35 am & 11:35 am – NO RESERVATION NEEDED
Tours of the Oakville Centre and the backstage area including a “hands-on try an instrument” station for brass, woodwinds, percussion and strings. Tour starts in the lobby and ends at the stage door.

12 pm – 1:00 pm – NO RESERVATION NEEDED
Downtown Musical Quest. Participants will have one hour to complete as many levels as they would like. Stations will be spread throughout the Downtown area. Visit the station for a musical surprise and get a stamp for your passport. Click this link to print your passport and map now:

These are also available at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts on the day of the event – look for our volunteers downtown to help you with this activity.

Young People’s Concert – the full orchestra educates and entertains the whole family. Special Guests: The Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra (formerly the Halton-Mississauga Youth Orchestra). 8:00 pm – 9:15 pm STILL AVAILABLE SEATS FOR THIS CONCERT
Friends of the Oakville Symphony – Past and Present. A concert of special performances by members of our orchestra and their friends. There will be jazz, brass quartets, piano and more. Please book your seats at the Oakville Centre by clicking here.
