The Oakville Symphony is pleased to be affiliated with the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra (OSYO), formerly the Halton-Mississauga Youth Orchestra.
The OSYO is comprised of four orchestras for youth: the Symphony, Philharmonia, Sinfonia and Youth Band. Applications are accepted in August, and auditions take place in early September. The orchestras rehearse at Kings College Collegiate, and the OSYO performs four concerts throughout the season.
Musicians from the Oakville Symphony provide mentoring to the young people in the OSYO.
OSYO Conductor Colin Clarke guest conducted the Oakville Symphony for the 2021 Family Christmas Concert at the Oakville Centre.
